Uploading MIDI files

Unfortunately trying to upload a MIDI file only gives me the option to treat it as a text file, which it isn't. Proceeding raises an error hinting to MIME type ‘audio/midi’. This happens for other file types as well. Couldn't you just allow uploading binary files letting the models handling the rest? Same for iOS?

    I’ll need to investigate more. But generally, most AI models can only process text files. Some can process PDF documents. Almost none of them could handle an arbitrary binary file.

    The way some apps make you feel that it can handle these binary files, is because it’s an agentic system where the LLMs may use a custom tools/CLIs to analyze/manipulate the file.

    Some models may support more than one modal (text), like images or even video, but don’t expect all LLMs to be able to do that.

    Which provider / model were you using?
