Plugins do not stay enabled in chat

I am experiencing a bug where plugins do not remain enabled in the chat. When I try to turn them on in a chat, they briefly appear to activate but then immediately revert to being off. I have also checked the 'Settings > Chat Context > Manage Plugins' and confirmed they are set to 'on', but the issue persists in new and existing chats.
