License immediately "forgotten"

Just purchased a Pro license for the latest-and-greatest BoltAI, entered the code, everything looked good: cute confetti animation, congrats, etc.

However, I’m soon pestered to “Link Cloud Account” to recognize the license, but that keeps failing with “This license is not active”.

Sure enough, when I click Settings went to the License tab, it claims that my license is revoked/deactivated.

Restarting BoltAI doesn’t help.

I just visited the License Manager web page, and everything looks fine / matches-up over there.

Bizarre and (obviously) frustrating.

Sorry for the issue, Michael. I’ve replied to your support request via email, with the workaround.

This is an edge case in BoltAI’s license handling that can occur when a refunded license is replaced with a new one.

Your new license is valid and activates successfully. However, BoltAI is still completing a validation request for the earlier refunded license. It then mistakenly applies that result to the new activation. The same stale license state causes “Link Cloud Account” to report that the license is inactive.

    For an immediate workaround:

    1. Quit BoltAI completely.

    2. Open Keychain Access and search for com.boltai.license.

    3. Delete only the entries ending in .token and .key.

    4. Reopen BoltAI and activate the new license again.

    5. Try linking your Cloud Account again.
