Custom Sync using S3 compatible endpoint with encryption

Hi, I love using this app and I have been enjoying the new sync function between devices. Although I completely trust how you deal with data, where I work requires data residency that I must use a server in the operating country to sync my data. I wonder if in the future we can roll our own sync server or sync via S3 compatible endpoint for similar requirements? Thanks!
